Why Do We Restore Our Old Photos?
Photographs are a great way of recording what happens, they can capture a place, events in a place, or people's lives. We usually see photographs that have been preserved and restored from important moments in history. We don't always realize we're capturing something that generations will be interested in years from now.
What Old Photos Can We Restore?
If your photographs are damaged, you don’t have to write them off completely. There is a lot we can do digitally ourselves these days to bring them back to an acceptable condition. We clean and stabilize the photograph again. Faded images can be brought back to life. Dust specs and scratches can be removed.
Granted there are some photographs that are harder to restore than others. Some sadly can’t be brought back to life.
How Are Your Photos Restored?
Professionals can take a hard copy of an image, usually through a professional scanner, create a digital version, clean it up, enhance it and delivery it back to you as a digital file as well as having the ability to print the image.
How Much Does It Cost to Restore a Photo?
Depending on the damage of the photo, the cost of restoration can be anywhere from $25 an image up to $200 per image. It all depends on the damage to the photo.
